Back in June 1992, Tim Burton joined Michael Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer and Danny DeVito at the press junket for the big-budget comicbook blockbuster, Batman Returns. I’m glad I trusted my instincts about . I’m glad I was willing to take the chance to play this role. If had been a failure, it would have been an enormous failure. And if succeeded, which it did, it’s been an enormous success – but it all relied on the central character of Batman.
