SoFi Stadium assault case may prove challenging for prosecutors, some experts say
LOS ANGELES — A suspect in an assault at SoFi Stadium that left a San Francisco 49ers fan in a coma has been arrested, but the case could prove difficult for prosecutors, some legal experts said Friday.
Bryan Alexis Cifuentes-Rossell, 33, of Los Angeles was arrested late Thursday on suspicion of felony assault related to the incident that has drawn national attention as Inglewood prepares to host the Super Bowl on Feb. 13.
The injured fan, 40-year-old Daniel Luna, was hospitalized after he was found bleeding in the stadium parking lot about half an hour into the Los Angeles Rams-49ers showdown on Sunday, authorities said. He remains in a medically induced coma.
