Breakfast at the cafeteria in the Lab Building. Our cook, Diane, feeds us three healthy meals a day, plus soft, gooey cookies in the afternoon.

“The Buggers” is our group name that identifies us at the station. Our fearless leader is Dr. Rick Lee, an entomologist (insect expert) from Miami University in Ohio. Our mission: to collect and, wingless flies that are extremely hardy. Our team is researching how these insects survive immersion in water, extreme dehydration, lack of oxygen, and being frozen solid in winter.
