For 1973, Amal launched a new-looking, stub fitting (with moulded rubber mounting hose) carburettor marketed as the ‘Concentric Mk.II.’ Despite its looks, other than it had a cold start device (plunger), Viton tip to float needle and hard anodised aluminium slide, its internal design followed established Amal Concentric practice.
