BACK IN THE DAY...

The writer of this story, identified by his initials, V.W., as was the convention in Motorcycle Sport in those days, had the opportunity to ride a Velocette Thruxton belonging to a gentleman named Trevor Brown. A Thruxton was a 500cc single-cylinder sporting motorcycle of a purposeful nature, comparable to a Clubman’s Gold Star.
