Take a stand against animal testing

Make up and hair products can do wonders for our creativity, confidence and self-expression, but even in this day and age — in the (what feels like futuristic) year of 2022 — many beauty tools are still produced by companies that use animal testing somewhere along the line. To learn more about the archaic practice, we hear from Michelle Thew, chief executive of the world’s leading anti-animal testing organisation, Cruelty Free International.

What’s more, new research conducted by YouGov on behalf of Cruelty Free International has shown widespread disapproval from the public when it comes to animal testing, with 85 per cent saying it is unacceptable for ingredients used in cosmetics to be tested on animals. Despite this, the government has confirmed that it is changing its 1998 policy ban on animal testing for cosmetics and their ingredients.” ()
