Dipping my toe in the show scene
ENJOY going to bird shows. Or, I should say, I enjoy going to most bird shows. My hesitation in fully endorsing all bird shows is that occasionally I have found them to be in unsuitable premises. I recall one all-British show when, with the hardbills, at least, being in dark, gloomy, green-painted cages in a poorly lit room, it was actually almost impossible to fully appreciate the birds that I had come to
