RINGNECKS are not as susceptible as Australian parakeets, but they can still experience problems with intestinal roundworms. These worms build up in the host’s intestines and live on the digested food that is passing through the gut. A single worm can produce as many as 2,000 eggs in a year, so it is easy to understand how a large infestation can build up on the floor of an aviary.
