Breed more now to show again later

FOR the second year in succession, I began my main breeding season at the end of September. On each occasion, the initial results were not spectacular, but I fulfilled my main objective of producing some nice chicks.

In 2020, I paired multiple colours, but for 2021 I focused on selfs, starting with 10 pairs that included chestnuts, fawns and chocolates, and eight pairs to produce chestnut & white. I also had three pairs still breeding that had been set in the summer (two pairs of fawn & whites and a pair of dilute fawn & whites). However,
