Friendships come in all shapes and sizes, and while friends are often similar in age (possibly due to having similar experiences at the same time), nearly four in 10 adults have a close friend who is at least 15 years older or younger than they are.
But what draws these people from different stages of their lives together? And how much can they really have in common? Woman’s Own spoke to some unlikely chums about why buddying up with someone much older or younger is something they’d recommend to us all.
