SATURDAY JANUARY 29

While the original sequels offered diminishing returns of the same old thing, this decade-plus later reboot offered an intriguing leap into the future where the original island has become a tourist-trap theme park of monorails and shopping malls. There, employees Owen and Claire (Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard) must save the day when the star attractions inevitably go rogue. Plenty of running and gnashing action, but not a lot of suspense in its haste to get from one close encounter of the toothy dino kind to the next. (2015)
