On 20 May 2020, many of us listened as it was announced there had been another 328 COVID-19-related deaths, bringing the nation’s total to 34,724. And this wasn’t just a number – they were mothers, fathers, sons and daughters.
Living in fear of this deadly virus, the majority of the public were adhering to a strict set of restrictions orchestrated by the Government and communicated to us by the man at its helm – Boris Johnson.
We were only allowed out to get food or medical supplies or to exercise. Schools were closed, the shutters down on businesses. Our doctors, nurses and care-home staff worked under intense pressures.
