‘Mystery car’ is a Flint

The “Reader Photo” featured in the Jan. 1 Old Cars (first photo) is a Flint that was made by Durant Motors, Inc., which was formed by former General Motors President Billy Durant after he was removed from GM.

The Flint was initially made in Long Island, N.Y., in 1923, then in Elizabeth, N.J., fom 1924 to 1927, and later in Flint, Mich. It has a 126-inch wheelbase with a Continental six-cylinder engine. Some were assembled
