Optimism Meets Fantasy in the April Sky
As Jupiter and Neptune join together in Pisces from April 4 until April 21 this month, I will probably be thinking about my good friend Jamie. I often say that what is best about Jamie is what is worst about Jamie. She tends to get very involved in her friends’ lives, as whenever a friend is in a jam, Jamie jumps right in to help. But she sometimes meddles in issues that don’t really concern her, so though she is a great friend to have when you are in trouble, she can be a meddlesome pest when you want to do your own thing.
And so it is with Jupiter, Neptune, and their all too brief conjunction aspect in April. The aspect itself is a mixed bag of blessings and challenges. The two planets on their own tend to bring out the best and the worst in us. Jupiter is the planet of optimism, idealism, and philosophy, and in a helpful aspect to our birth charts can help to expand our minds and move our hearts by encouraging us to feel good about the world in which we live. Jupiter is also the planet of excess, seemingly tempting us to make promises we can’t keep, and to spend more than we can comfortably afford.
