Having José Roca on our shores in Sydney is the greatest and most welcome gift. His global experience, compassion, and eloquent way of seeing the world is entirely unique. I particularly love José’s collaborative approach to his work, which has seen him enlist a local team of curators to enhance his concept for the Biennale of Sydney, weaving in their local knowledge and ideas.
