When asked about his dream project, Sir David Adjaye is at a loss for words. “I guess it would be something that I haven’t thought about, but I’ll know once someone approaches me with it,” he says. That’s not surprising considering that there’s very little that the British architect hasn’t already achieved.

Born in Tanzania, the son of a Ghanaian diplomat, Adjaye moved to London at the age of nine and studied architecture at South Bank University, winning a RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) bronze medal on graduation. That was just the beginning of a stellar career that has established him as one of the most accomplished architects of his generation.
