How to maximi se depth of field

We all use it, and whether we fully understand the science and physics behind it, depth of field plays a very important role in our photography, be it landscapes, portraits, architecture, or close-ups. Discussions on depth of field can get very technical and we could end up looking at various formulae to explain it. I won’t! Oh, and by the way don’t get ‘depth of field’ confused with ‘depth of focus’. We are interested in depth of field, the stuff that is going on in front of the lens.
