Do I really need to be ‘safe’?
Q I’m 52 and going through my menopause but my GP wants me to keep using contraception. Surely there’s no need?
Diane, Rugby
A Your chances of getting pregnant are very low, but not zero, and GPs recommend if you have your menopause after 50 you should still use contraception until you’ve had no periods
