Anamnesis

The woman who welcomes Eddie’s group to the Anamnesis Facility wears a crisp blouse, severe black glasses, and has hair so glossy it doesn’t look real. Eddie thinks Anamnesis wants her to come across as competent and clever, but she reminds him of a dominatrix. Looking around, Eddie notes the older people in the room, and wonders if her style is supposed to appeal to them.

None of the 11 people sitting with Eddie appear comfortable. He isn’t either – despite three months of nightly preparation leading to this, there’s something unsettling about arriving at a “Facility”.
