.22 Magnum For Pigs
Q I own a CZ.22 Magnum like yours and I have read that you have accounted for a number of goats and deer with it. Have you ever used it on pigs? If so, how did it go? At present I am looking to put a scope on my rifle and know that you have a Swarovski 6x on your gun. What power of scope would you recommend?

I did have a 6x Swarovski on my CZ.22 WMR, but recently I stalked a pair of sows and all I could see in the scope was a big blur after I got within four metres. Although I managed to get one sow the other got away in thick cover. Most of my hunting locally is at 25 to 50 yards and only rarely reaches to 100 yds. I use Federal’s 50gn load exclusively and sight it for a 100 yd. zero. After the fiasco with the sows I swapped the 6x scope for a Meopta Optika 5 2-10x42 Z-Plex and leave it set on 2x. This works fine for the close shots and I can crank it up if a longer shot offers. However, I recommend you get a more compact scope such as a 2-7x or even
