Travel Experiences Varied in October
While October was a relatively quiet, easy-going month, it provided me with a couple truly contrasting travel experiences. The month began with a couple days spent in Puerto Rico, a new destination and one I’m unlikely to repeat, to partake of a destination family wedding venue. It closed out with a run down to Madison, Wis., where I spent a couple hours enjoying the Madison Coin Club’s annual fall show.
As we were scheduled for an early morning flight out of Appleton on Thursday, Sept. 30, for the Puerto Rico trip – we being Sally, daughter Sharon, granddaughter Solia and her boyfriend – late Wednesday afternoon found us heading out to overnight at the Cobblestone Inn near the airport. Our problem-free flights on Delta, with a connection in Atlanta, found us arriving in San Juan on schedule early afternoon.
