Surrey’s stealth metalcore crew re-equip themselves for glory

back at the previous decade of heavy British music, it’s hard to think of a more unfairly ignored and unfortunate band than Palm Reader. The Woking quintet – played in full this evening – but have constantly been overtaken in stature by acts of inferior quality. Tonight, after years of toil, they finally get to headline a London venue of significant stature… and, in an unbelievable stroke of cruel bad luck, have their gear stolen on the way to the venue. It’s a sickener of a situation, and were it not for friends and peers clubbing together tonight may not have gone ahead at all.
