141 boats take part in 36th ARC Rally

Nearly 900 sailors on 141 boats crossed the start line of the 36th Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC). The majority of boats were expected to take between 18-21 days to make the 2,700-mile crossing from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to Rodney Bay Marina, Saint Lucia.

The Cruising Division was the largest section of the fleet, with 92 yachts taking part. The first cruiser to cross the, skippered by German Markus Bocks, who was taking part in his third ARC.
