Durham partnership and local novice take top awards at record-entry show

FATHER and son partnership Gary and Johnathon Archer (G. & J. Archer) took the top award of best Fife with their 10 per cent variegated (var) buff hen, which came out on top of a class of 22 birds.

Other main award winners in the Fife section are as follows: best champion clear going to Paul Gillott’s yellow hen followed by Alan Wilson’s yellow and buff cocks and Gerald Spencer’s buff hen. The Archers’ buff hen took the best 10 per cent award, beating Paul Gillott’s yellow hen and buff cock and Brian & Sam Russell’s yellow cock.
