REFINING A CLASSIC

Straightforward and unfussy—that’s the style Yvonne Williams is drawn to and the aesthetic she has taken great pleasure in enriching her home to embody. Her 1936 Tudor-style house showcases collections of butter churns, rustic boxes and antique textiles carefully selected to align with Colonial-themed portrait art, punched-tin lanterns, period furnishings and beautiful reproduction lighting. And you’d be hard-pressed to find a room that doesn’t include at least one piece of stoneware.

Yvonne traces her decorating preferences to a single piece of pottery. “My love for everything old started with a yellowware bowl that my mother used to make drop biscuits in when I was a child,” she shares. “My father gave it to me when she passed.” Today,
