‘Is nostalgia killing cinema?’ I hate hearing that as much as, ‘This film ruined my childhood.’ There’s no greater feeling than a callback to films you saw many years ago. Belated sequels are far superior to remakes. Your beloved film isn’t being replaced. Yes, nostalgia can be a tad overdone at times. But your childhood is over. It can’t be ruined by a film now. And there’s plenty of original content out there. Here’s an idea – if you’re worried you won’t like something, don’t watch it! Let the rest of us enjoy it instead!
