Carl Fabergé (1846–1920) was one of Russia’s finest jewellers and goldsmiths, and his world-famous Fabergé eggs have long symbolised Imperial Russian elegance. However, Fabergé also had an important British connection, forged when he opened a branch of the family business in London in 1903.
