XJ8 tyre advice

Q I own a May 1998 Jaguar XJ8 LWB and am currently driving around 5,000 miles per annum. My tyres (225/60x16) are still visually good, but are nine years old and need replacing. Because I drive infrequently and usually only in dry conditions, could you give me a tip as to which make of tyre is the most comfortable in terms of noise and smoothness?
