HOME RUN

For a long time now we’ve preached the ‘built not bought’ mindset and respected those willing or able to tackle a build at home. A true Homebuilt Hero has a special place for us, and even more so when attempting something different from the norm.

Peter Dix and his modified Mk1 Consul certainly fits into that category, as for the last 10 years he’s been using his ingenuity and abilities to build and restore this stunning Mk1 Consul, complete with Pinto engine, five-speed, Escort suspension and a host of custom parts to make it a much nicer ride. It’s fair to say we rarely see modified Mk1 Consuls and we’ve certainly never seen another like Peter’s, but although this was his first road legal project, he has plenty of prior experience.
