The Car of My Dreams

  16 years old, I purchased the car of my dreams: a 1953 Ford Crestline Sunliner convertible. It was black with red and black leather upholstery, a white top, and a continental kit. It had the flathead V-8 engine, standard two-barrel carburetor, and standard transmission. I loved it and could hardly wait until spring, when I could put the top down and go cruising with the wind in my face and hair. The car was not particularly fast but it sounded great with the dual glasspack mufflers. It was also dropped in the rear with lowering blocks.
