01. TAKE A BREATH

Feeling sluggish at the start of your workout? Everything from stress to poor posture can lead to taking short, ineffective breaths that miss out on the energy of a properly oxygenated brain and body. Try this quick fix: breathe in through your nose for five seconds and let your stomach push out, then breathe out through your mouth for ten seconds. Slow the exhalation down by pressing your lips together to make a sound like a deflating balloon.
