New Life for Old Textiles
Repurpose bright vintage linens as the base for a spring tablescape. Elizabeth Jones of Country Peony says they’re easy to find at antiques stores and thrift shops. Choose vibrant colors and designs that will pair beautifully with fresh flowers. To start your table, first lay down a white tablecloth or sheet. Then, at an angle, place a vintage linen over the tablecloth. Position another vintage linen over the first. Don’t worry if the two don’t match. Just use pieces in a similar color palette. Create an unfussy centerpiece of flower stems in glass bottles in the middle of the table.
