My worst moment: ‘Reno 911!’ star Thomas Lennon on the Scorsese role that got away

One of Thomas Lennon’s most indelible comedic roles might be that of Lt. Jim Dangle of the “Reno 911!” franchise, which began as a TV series and has continued on with the occasional movie, including the latest, “Reno 911: The Hunt for QAnon” premiering on Paramount+ and timed for holiday viewing.

An Oak Park, Illinois, native, Lennon is also a writer, of screenplays including the “Night at the Museum” films,” as well as the author of the “Ronan Boyle” young adult book series, and he just published the third installment: “Into the Strange Place.” “The books are about a teenager from Galway who gets recruited into a special unit of the police in Ireland that looks into the crimes of leprechauns and things like that.
