on Muir is an interesting guy. This isn’t a huge shock: He’s one of Australia’s greatest explorers. He’s made nine trips to the Himalayas and 33 to the Andes, including a solo ascent of Everest. In 2001, he made the first solo, unassisted crossing of the Australian continent, covering 2,500km in 128 days on foot. He’s reached both poles, gone on huge sea kayaking and sailing missions, done a whole bunch more, and is now living a reclusive life in his off-the-grid
