She’s getting ready to celebrate Christmas with her loved ones and the Duchess of Cambridge has plenty of festive fun planned for her family.

But it will be her children Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six and three-year-old Prince Louis who will be bringing the “noise and excitement”, according to her husband the Duke.

There will also be the joy of watching the magical and moving carol service Kate hosted for unsung heroes earlier this month.

On ITV at 7.30pm on Christmas Eve, the hour-long Royal Carols: Together at Christmas features an introduction from the Duchess, who looks wonderfully festive in a red and white rose-patterned cardigan by Miu Miu as she says: “I’m so excited to be hosting Together at Christmas here at Westminster Abbey.”

There are also performances from singers Leona Lewis, Tom Walker and Ellie Goulding, together with readings from Prince William and TV presenter Kate Garraway, among others.

The event brought together 1,200 people from across the UK in recognition of their “tireless efforts and selfless acts of kindness” throughout the pandemic, as well
