ver the past year, we have celebrated 100 years of , a magazine that began publishing in 1921, bringing French fashion to the world and introducing trends, culture, and art from all over the, the last of 2021, offers many nostalgic moments: places, people, and objects of decadent desire. You will find a profile of the iconic, 92-year-old designer Roberto Capucci, an elegant Palm Beach resort, and precious jewels from Tiffany & Co. But the issue also looks to the future with a new, positive energy, starting with our cover star: the fabulously cool Elle Fanning, a former child actor who has grown into a strong, risk-taking woman at the vanguard of her fearless generation of creatives. Finally, in this celebration of our heritage, we want to give new meaning and hope to the idea of globalism: While might have started a century ago as a chronicler of French fashion domination, today it reflects a true understanding of the many cultures, both near and far, that inspire and surround us all.
