BRIAN SAYS… Moving water needs to be captured with a relatively slow shutter speed, use Shutter Priority (Tv) or Manual mode to control the shutter speed, and select the lowest ISO 100. Take shots at different speeds to see how the water is captured. Slow moving water needs longer shutter speeds, more likely around 1-2 secs, not fractions of seconds, this means using whatever you can find to keep the camera still during the exposure. If you don’t have a tripod, look for something solid to rest your camera on, or brace it against.
