Roebuck Of Croatia
Podravina is in north Croatia along river Drava which separates Hungary and Croatia. Somewhere here, along the river, Atilla the Hun was stopped, and massive battle ended his expansion to Europe. The Drava River starts in the Tyrol Alps carving its way through a few countries and after 725 km joins the Danube near Kopacki Rit national park, which holds large numbers of original Pannonian deer, Europe’s largest subspecies of red deer. On both sides of the river hunting is excellent with large numbers of red, fallow, boar, roebuck and other game animals roaming seemingly endless flat farmland which used to be a Pannonian Sea.
This is the natural habitat of Pannonian red deer which is largest of all European red deer subspecies and most sought after by trophy hunters. These fine trophy deer are pride
