Vibrantly organic!

ViBERi’s organic blackcurrant powder recently won the 2021 People’s Choice Organic Food of the Year Award. The Organic NZ Awards, sponsored by Organic NZ magazine, were announced in September during the nationwide Organic Week, which celebrates the country’s ever-growing organic sector.

Tony and Afsaneh Howey produce between 200 and 300 tonnes of blackcurrants (and some redcurrants) annually, which they use to make a wide range of products including freeze-dried and powdered berries.

Afsaneh, who does the company’s marketing, said they were very happy with the award after all the years of working away on the brand and products.
