Well Heeled
This beautifully engraved silver shoe was given to my husband and me by my mother-in-law on our silver wedding anniversary. The base of the heel is stamped with a lion passant and the letter ‘D’. I think it must have been used once upon a time as a pin cushion or possibly a hat pin cushion, though the cushion material is now long gone. Is this a good guess and would it be from the Victorian era?
