    It was smack in the middle of a memorable summer of golf that the last Australian PGA Championship was played.

    Following Matt Jones holding off Louis Oosthuizen to capture the Stonehaven Cup for a second time and the closest Presidents Cup in years with Tiger Woods as star, Adam Scott broke a win drought around the corner from home.

    The final event of significance in 2019, the Australian PGA presented exactly what Aussie golf fans love. One of our biggest stars taking the spoils, multiple young players pressing their claims to future stardom and even a redemption story in Nick Flanagan.

    Less than two months later Min Woo Lee confirmed his status as a rising star by winning the Vic Open, before one of the greats of the modern era, Inbee Park, claimed the Women’s Australian Open.

    All seemed great in the world of Australian professional golf that had just crowned its latest major champion in Hannah Green in 2019.
