RALLYING AND THE STORM

The Roger Albert Clark Rally is designed to be a challenge. Long days, tough stages and a unique atmosphere make it one of the highlights of UK special stage rallying.

But the 2021 edition took the challenge to a new level as StormArwen did its best to wreak havoc.

Everyone who was on the 2010 Roger Albert will have clear memories of the incredible event that ran in the year of the snow. The 2021 rally will go down in history as the year of the blow.

As ever, rally manager Colin Heppenstall pulled off the seemingly impossible by organising a five-day, 31-stage, 320-stage mile epic across England, Scotland and Wales, Only the ongoing impact of Covid on European entries reduced the capacity entry of 150 cars, but 139 cars
