There are lots of people you meet on the way playing for so many fantastic clubs, but when people ask who’s been the most influential person in my career, it’s not Sir Alex Ferguson. It’s my wife, Claire. We’ve now been married for 30 years and went to school together. She had a career at 18 but left it so I could pursue mine.
