‘Advance fee’ for lottery win

read online recently a warning). It reminded me of a text message I received a few months ago claiming to be from the People’s Postcode Lottery (PPL). I do play this lottery, so it caught my eye. But I was suspicious when it asked me to pay an advance fee to access my winnings. I checked on PPL’s site (), and it confirmed that it doesn’t ask for money upfront to release your winnings. I also rang them to check (0808 109 8765). I hope other readers take heed.
