utton Coldfield and North Birmingham AC (SUNBAC) held a Team Trial in July 1933, each team consisting of five cars and a reserve. The MG team consisted of Toulmin, A.B. Langley, D.B. Payne, A.W. Smith, A.C. Cookson and J.A. Bastock, all driving J2s. This was soon followed by a Liverpool MC event in which there was an MG Car Club (Midland Centre) team of J.H. Summerfield, J.A. Bastock and A.B. Langley and a team called Triple, consisting of J.M. Toulmin, R.A. MacDermid
