Tearoom Mysteries

The second largest city in France, Lyon is conveniently located close to the Alps, not too far from the Mediterranean Sea and Marseille, but also only two hours from Paris, if you take the high-speed train (TGV). Known as the capital of French gastronomy and for the famous Michelin-starred chef Paul Bocuse, it’s also home to many less-fancy restaurants, called bouchons, where you can taste in a more casual setting typical Lyon dishes like cervelas (truffled or pistachio sausages) and quenelles (a dish made from pike) with a bottle of Beaujolais, of course! But, as you will see, Lyon has also a lot to offer tea lovers. From delightful tearooms to tea boutiques, there is much to discover in la capitale des Gaules, where teatime is always sweet.
