Welcome! One of the essential qualities that makes great bass players so great is their ability to recognize their options. This approach is what we’ll be covering in today’s lesson, and we’ll examine this concept by taking triads through a II-V-I chord progression.

Usually, when we think about triads, we tend to visualize them with a specific shape in mind. For example, with minor triads, we might visualize the root note and the minor third on the same string, with the 5th on the next string down.
