that's life!

Welcome!

There are so many stories that left me with a smile on my face this week and put me right in the mood for Christmas. For a start, I, I thought, but that doesn’t stop me feeling proud of my old man. When you consider that every blood donation can save up to three lives, that’s a pretty good contribution to make to your community. Community was also at the heart of another of our stories, told by Te’re from the NSW Central Coast. Te’re is a dog-lover, and has spread that love far and wide via her Doggie Dates initiative. What started out as casual walks with a few friends and their respective dogs has morphed into something that’s really simple, but also simply fabulous. There are now lots of Doggie Dates groups who get together to spend time with others, make new friends and get out in the fresh air. They’ve also raised lots of money to help pets and their owners. There are no reindeers involved, but reading about that lovely sense of community has left me glowing. And I reckon that’s a pretty good Christmas gift!
