    Softly, I ran my hand over my growing belly.

    Why aren’t you wriggling around, baby girl? I wondered sadly.

    At 28 weeks pregnant, I’d been looking forward to feeling our first bub moving. I’d lie down at night, silently willing our girl to kick.

    She never moved, though.

    When my husband, Tim, and I went for the routine scans, doctors assured us nothing was wrong.
