WANDA THE BRAVE

BY SIHLE-ISIPHO NONTSHOKWENI JACANA

Wanda is excited to be going to the hair salon and knows exactly which hairdo she wants – but the hair stylist insists on trying to straighten her hair. The white chemical she applies stings like crazy but when Wanda complains, she’s told that she needs to be willing to suffer for beauty. Plucky Wanda refuses to accept this and teams up with a friend to teach the stylist a lesson she’ll never forget.

This is a wonderful inspirational tale about girl power and having the courage to be true to yourself.
